Camden Electronics, the UK's leading manufacturer and supplier of PCB terminal blocks has a new shareholding management team, led by Managing Director Nicola Kay. Along with Ian Alexander as Sales Director and Ryan Wilkinson as Financial Director, Camden now has a very experienced directorial team supported by Martin Reader as Operations Manager and Caroline McKeggie as Purchasing and Quality Manager. Kay intends to capitalise on the potential of the Camden brand by furthering the development of worldwide markets for the company's interconnection and enclosure products.
She commented: 'Camden is a well known and well established brand with a significant share of the UK market for PCB terminal blocks'.
'There is huge potential for increasing market penetration of these and our other product lines on an international basis through the development of a worldwide OEM and distribution customer base'.
'Exports already represent around 30% of our turnover but I believe we can increase this significantly in a relatively short space of time'.
She added: 'Camden's new senior management team will be strengthening alliances with our suppliers and distributors to reinvigorate the business and provide even better service for customers'.
'Our strategy includes expansion of the field sales team, capitalising on our extensive market knowledge, and provision of enhanced technical support and engineering services'.
Kay brings 25 years experience to the Camden team in both component distribution and custom electronic manufacturing (CEM).
She previously founded a highly profitable and award winning CEM.
Working with Kay is Wilkinson, a qualified chartered accountant, who was a lead advisor to the shareholders prior to joining as Financial Director and brings with him 11 years in industrial corporate finance.
Alexander has spent 35 years in the electronics industry with extensive engineering and technical experience.
For 15 years he has spearheaded sales at Camden, being a key player in all the new product developments.
Reader joined Camden in 1999 and has 15 years experience in warehouse management including retail logistics management.
He provides a high level of commercial awareness to the Camden warehouse team.
McKeggie has a proven track record in purchasing and quality management having joined Camden in 1991 originally as quality consultant.
Her responsibilities are to ensure Camden's quality system continues to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO9001:2000 and to ensure that stocks are maintained at optimum levels.
