SIM connector makes stronger contact

A reversed type SIM connector provides a two-point contact on all six pins, preventing electrical interruption when the connector is dropped or otherwise subjected to mechanical stress and vibrations.
The latest reversed type SIM connector from Yamaichi Electronics is the first in the market to provide a two-point contact on all six pins, preventing electrical interruption when the connector is dropped or otherwise subjected to mechanical stress and vibrations. FMS006-3000-1 is a so-called tray-type for manual card insertion and extraction. The tray is made in one casting including the card and contact section, thus eliminating the likelihood of accidentally separating the card tray from the rest of the connector.

Furthermore, polyoxymethylene (Acetal), or POM, is used for the tray material, which is hard to break.

What is more, the tray can be exchanged.

As a reversed type the connector is soldered on the bottom of the PCB.
