Tuning fork crystal is smaller and cheaper
The latest tuning fork crystal from Fox measures just 3.2 x 1.5 x 0.9mm, making it the smallest miniature watch crystal available.
Available now from Avnet Time, the latest tuning fork crystal from Fox measures just 3.2 x 1.5 x 0.9mm, making it the smallest miniature watch crystal available. The FX135, which is also less expensive than previous models, is ideal for applications where space is critical, such as in portable and handheld devices. With a frequency of 32.768kHz, the new surface mount device (SMD) is optimised for a standard 12.5pF load capacitance (FX135A), with an optional load capacitance of 9pF available (FX135B).
Frequency tolerance is +/-20ppm at 25C and frequency stability is -0.045ppm/C over the standard operating temperature of -40 to +85C.
