Farnell InOne has appointed Stephen Makepeace as its new Regional Director of Western Europe. Makepeace's main responsibilities will be to lead the Farnell InOne business in the UK and Ireland. Prior to joining the Premier Farnell Group in 1996, Makepeace, a chartered accountant, worked for a number of international organisations including PricewaterhouseCoopers and United Technologies Corp.
"By further combining the strengths and capabilities of the 'InOne' group of businesses, which include Farnell InOne, Buck Hickman InOne and Newark InOne, I aim to offer Farnell InOne's customers an even wider range of products and increase services tailored specifically to meet their needs", explains Makepeace.
"There is a tremendous amount of strength and energy in the Western European businesses.
It is very exciting to join at this time, and I look forward to focusing our energy into improving customer service levels still further and strengthening the platform from which we grow business".
John Hirst, Premier Farnell Group CEO, concludes: "Stephen's commitment to Farnell InOne and tremendous success in Australasia has made him an invaluable member of our team.
His move to the UK reinforces the InOne vision; working together across geographic and business boundaries to deliver the best service possible to customers.
