Preventive monitoring tools on show in Japan
Pixelmetrix will demonstrate its DVStorIP-Gen, at Inter BEE 2006 from 15th to 18th November 2006 in Japan. The DVStorIP-Gen is a high-performance, cost-effective tool for the evaluation, compliance testing and stress verification of networks and IPTV monitoring equipment analysis. It supports SPTS and MPTS generation, including UDP and RTP streaming.
Each generated transport stream can be forwarded to up to 100 target IP destinations, identified by the IP address and port number.
The DVStor can also generate up to seven unique transport streams simultaneously, and up to 900Mbit/s of IPTV traffic, making it an efficient solution for IPTV broadcasters as well as test and monitoring equipment and network providers.
With the DVStorIP-Gen, operators can observe error-free streaming through the restamping of continuity count and insertion of PCR discontinuity flag during transport stream loopback.
The DVStation-IP will also be on show.
This feature-rich system provides transport stream analysis and monitoring over an IP connection via a 10/100 and 1000Mbit/s Ethernet port.
It offers remote control and automation platform - ideal for operators requiring the transmission of video and data over Internet or other IP networks.
Live video display that allows visual confirmation of program content presence, Service View that spans multiple TS, displays MPEG-2 and H.264 video thumbnails, critical TS and audio/video parameters in a concise format, are some of its key features.
A combination of real-time signal measurements and user-configurable alarm thresholds are also integrated.
Danny Wilson, President and CEO of Pixelmetrix Corporation conveyed: 'Pixelmetrix IPTV test and monitoring platforms are fast gaining interest'.
'We have identified that the Japanese market has specific needs'.
'Hence, for Inter BEE, we are working closely with our distributor in Japan to present the latest in our innovations and bring on our preventive monitoring tools that best fulfil their requirements'.
Added to the demo line up are the DVStation Mini and VisualmpegPro.
The DVStation Mini is available in an ASI version for transport stream analysis, 8VSB RF version for ATSC monitoring and now a QAM version for cable applications.
The VisualmpegPro serves to boost consistency in data verification.
It allows for visual inspection of all aspects of MPEG video coding right from bit rate to macroblock motion vector analysis.
